Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Live Nation Entertainment.
Human Resources Coordinator
I had three interviews: first with the recruiter, then with the head of HR, and finally with the GM to check if I was a good fit for the venue.
- What aspects of Human Resources do you find most enjoyable?
Human Resources Generalist
I applied on LinkedIn for the job and about a week later, a recruiter from the Beverly Hills office (even though the job is in NYC) reached out for a phone interview. The recruiter seemed really uninterested during the call, but I figured it was the end of the day. She said she'd update me early the next week, but I ended up having to reach out at the end of the following week. I still haven't heard back, even though I interviewed in early February. It's frustrating to be ghosted after taking the time to speak with them; an update would be appreciated, especially after a conversation, rather than just being ignored.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you share your experience with employee relations?
- What is your interest in Live Nation?
Human Resources Generalist
I applied online through LinkedIn and heard back from a recruiter in about a week. First, I had a 45-minute phone chat with recruiting. Then, about another week later, I got a call to schedule a 30-minute phone interview with the hiring manager. After that call, it took roughly two months to finally get an in-person interview scheduled. Even though it took a while, the recruiting team stayed in touch and gave me updates. Once I finished the in-person interview, I got an offer in less than a day. The whole process from applying to accepting the offer took three months.
- Can you describe how you ensure effective communication across different levels of seniority?
- What strategies do you employ for building rapport and relationships with individuals at various seniority levels?
