First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Little Caesars Pizza.
General Manager
I initially applied for an assistant manager role. The previous General Manager reviewed my resume and asked if I was interested in a more senior position. After he spoke with his area supervisor, I had two interviews with the area supervisor. Following the second interview, I was offered a co-manager position. I then trained at a different store for three months before moving to my permanent location. After three months of independently managing the store due to my General Manager's extended absence (first for injury, then due to health concerns), I requested a raise and promotion. Subsequently, I was promoted to General Manager and worked there until I relocated.
- The interview felt more like a casual chat to get to know each other. It wasn't stressful at all.
- I felt very welcome and comfortable with my Area Supervisor during the interview.
- Even though the questions were challenging, I felt at ease answering them.
General Manager
The Market Manager left a message, but I didn't catch the last name or phone number. I reached out to HQ in Detroit, but they weren't sure either. I had to reapply a few times before HR finally called me for a phone interview. Then I had a face-to-face meeting with the Market Manager. They offered me a lesser position with half the salary I was currently making. I initially declined, but then I was persuaded to meet with the owner, who was in town. That interview lasted 15 minutes, and they offered me a role that was a closer match to my previous salary.
- What makes you qualified to run one of my stores?
General Manager
I had originally applied for an assistant managers position, but after speaking with the General Manager, who saw my qualifications, he suggested I was better suited for a Co-Manager role. We discussed my extensive restaurant experience, customer service background, and my associate's and bachelor's degrees. He then scheduled an interview with the district manager for the Co-Manager position. The district manager and I met a week later to discuss the role's requirements, my restaurant and management experience, and expectations. He gave me time to consider the hours and compensation before a final meeting a week after that, where I accepted the offer. I then underwent 3 months of training as a Co-Manager at another store, after which I moved to my store and was promoted to General Manager within 3 more months.
- Regarding your application, why did you choose this particular role?
- Are you able to commit to extended working hours?
- Could you detail the responsibilities and tasks you performed in your prior employment?
