Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Listrak.
Applications Developer
I went through a series of in-person interviews with different people, including team members, board members, and the owners. They gave me some challenges, both online and in person. It felt pretty comfortable, and everyone was really respectful. They made sure I knew what they were looking for in a candidate.
- How do you keep your knowledge of current technologies current?
Software Engineer
I had a call with an HR recruiter to start. Then, I took a timed online cognitive test. After that, they scheduled me for a tech interview. The day before, I got an update saying they forgot to include links to a HackerRank timed test. I hadn't used HackerRank before and had almost no time to look at it before the next day's interview. When I got to the interview, I logged into HackerRank. The IDE was really basic and didn't offer much to work with. The specs were written in a way that seemed to show off the writer's intelligence rather than being straightforward.

Applications Developer
HR reached out to schedule an initial phone chat. After that, I had to do an online coding challenge, a personality test, and an IQ test. Plan for about 2 hours on the coding challenge. Then, I had an in-person meeting with a group of managers, saw the office, and had a quick chat with some directors. That whole thing was about 2 hours. After that, I spoke with the VP, which was a short 30-minute meeting. Got the offer about a week later and took it!
- Could you tell me about your responsibilities during your last internship?
