First, a TA phone call. Then, a Zoom call with a Manager or Director. Finally, an in-person session with a Director, VP, and Peer/Team Lead, which includes an interview and a mock qualification call based on a given scenario. Depending on the role's level, the CRO might also be involved.

I originally interviewed for a legal ops consultant position in early December 2023. After a great hour-long call with the recruiter, I was quickly scheduled for a second interview with the hiring manager. However, after the interview, the recruiter mentioned I'd be a better fit for a different role and set up a call with the HR director to discuss options. I didn't hear back for about a month, likely due to the holidays. I followed up at the end of January 2024, and the HR director scheduled an interview with the hiring manager for the Contract Specialist role. After that meeting, I was ready for the final in-person panel interview, but it was canceled the week before because the position was put on hold. I'm not sure about the company's finances, but it seems like LinkSquares is going through some organizational issues. It was definitely not cool to string me along for over 2 months.

It was a really easy and open chat where we talked about my past experience, my career goals, and what I wanted from a new position. I also shared some ideas for the role. They answered all my questions. The hiring manager kept in touch after each chat with different execs and team members, checking in on how it went and if I had any follow-up questions. The whole thing felt smooth and comfortable. Even after I accepted, they invited me to team events and an all-hands meeting, and kept me updated on team projects before I even started, which made transitioning easier and helped me get up to speed. I also got a welcome box with company stuff and a really nice, personal note from my hiring manager, which made me feel super welcome and excited to start.

Behavioral Case

It was a pretty typical interview process. Started with a recruiter call to discuss the role. Then, I had an in-person interview that lasted about 1.5 hours with three Sales Directors. The first director was a little late but we had a good conversation and I got immediate feedback. The second director was also great, we had a casual chat and they were upfront about some resume concerns, giving me a chance to address them. However, the third director made the experience less than ideal. They seemed rushed, constantly checking their watch during our short meeting. They asked very basic, rapid-fire questions and gave short, unhelpful answers to mine. I felt like I was bothering them. To top it off, they just left at the end, leaving me to find my way out, which added to the negative impression.
