Technical Case

Two stages to this interview process: a technical assessment and a get-to-know-you chat. If you're coming in as a lateral, they'll really test your knowledge, so don't expect to BS your way through it. It's not something you can cram for or really study.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Technical questions were asked, and a case study related to the practice area was presented.

The interview process was pretty straightforward and they made it clear what they were looking for. They also laid out the career path. There were 3 interviews in total: one with HR, one with the HR partner, and one with the partners of the department I would have joined. No technical questions were asked.

Confirmed questions1 question

Behavioral Presentation

I interviewed on campus and got a callback to interview at the NY office. The interview was pretty standard except for a situational component where they make you memorize a scenario and then explain how you would handle it. The senior attorney tells you that everything you propose will not work, so you have to keep coming up with new ideas. The worst part was they gave that to you before your first interview and then you weren't quizzed until the end of the day.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • What breakfast cereal would you be, and why?
  • Given a scenario and the feedback that all your proposed solutions will be deemed unworkable, how would you adapt and continue to generate solutions?
