I had a phone interview for this Process Integration Engineer role. The description said it would be all technical questions, covering BJT, pn junction, and CMOS devices. The hiring manager asked for a lot of detail about each device, so knowing them really well is a must. They did offer hints if I got stuck. The call lasted over forty minutes.

I interviewed for two different departments on the same day for similar roles. I got there early and spent several hours talking to various engineers from the departments. They asked me a bunch of questions, some basic and some a bit tricky. Then, I chatted with the assistant manager for the department about company culture, what they're looking for, and some general personality stuff. We broke for lunch, and then I had my second round of interviews for the other position. It was pretty similar, talking with several engineers again. I had a bit of trouble with some questions because of language confusion, but overall, it didn't feel too stressful.

The interview process went pretty well overall. I had a phone interview first, and then an onsite interview. The onsite consisted of one-on-one interviews, each lasting about an hour. The whole day was taken up by interviews, around 8 hours total, which was pretty exhausting. They tested on fundamental circuit theories and digital circuits theories. The interviewers were really nice, sharp, and professional. I would have enjoyed working there, but I haven't heard back since the onsite.

First, a phone chat with the section manager to gauge interest. Then, a series of five 45-minute interviews on-site in Camas, WA. Each interviewer will be a section manager or senior engineer. They'll ask super technical questions about device physics, CMOS process, solid state physics, failure analysis, and situational process engineering. Some questions might not even have a right answer, they just want to see your thought process.
