Instructor
The hiring manager called me out of the blue to chat about my resume and work history. It was kinda weird that they called without scheduling first, but it meant I didn't have to prep much. Then, I had to do a 10-15 minute presentation for the faculty.
- Tell me about your work experience.
- What's your experience with the curriculum subjects?
Instructor
I did a mock teach which went well. I ate lunch with some other instructors and taught math to them so they could see my skills. Soon after, I was offered a sub position. They brought me in to shadow another instructor for a few days to get used to things before I started covering classes when needed.
- What are your strategies for teaching students who learn in different ways?
Instructor
I had a phone interview, then a teams interview, and then a 10 minute demo on a topic of my choice. The education supervisor did an excellent job, it was a very thorough process.
- Prepare a 10-minute demonstration on any topic you select.
