Had an initial phone screening with a hiring center based in TX. The recruiter gave me some useful pointers for my resume, but they didn't seem to grasp what I was looking for in my next role concerning salary and benefits. The range they offered was much lower than expected, with the rest supposedly made up by an end-of-year 'bonus.' This total compensation was significantly less than I'm currently earning, and the main reason I'm seeking a new job is the low base salary. Afterward, I was added to their call list and bombarded with job offers that had low-ball salaries, even though I repeatedly informed them it wasn't in my desired range. I'd steer clear of this place; they apparently don't pay attention to people's concerns.
