Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lincoln Electric.
Engineering Co-Op
I had 2 phone interviews. The first was with HR, and the second was with my future manager. It was pretty simple, mostly behavioral questions. We talked a lot about my motivations, like why I picked chemical engineering and why I was interested in LE.
- What motivated your application to LE?
Trainee Engineer
The interview process was really well put together. It started with two phone screens and then moved to a 2-day onsite interview at their main office in Cleveland, OH. Everyone I met was super nice and happy to share info about the job, the city, and how they operate as a company. They have a unique way of running things, like their Guaranteed Employment policy and how their salaries are incentive-based. There's actually a book about the company from 2010 called Spark that I'd suggest if you're thinking about working there.
- Can you share details about your recent work experiences?
Engineer
It was a super uncomfortable interview, the panel wasn't friendly at all. They seemed intimidating and didn't make the job sound appealing or interesting. They weren't engaging during the interview and it felt like taking this job would've been a bad decision.
- A technical question about VBA for loops was asked.
