Case Presentation

The interview process was well-structured, although there were delays in getting updates about the next steps. Due to HR being on vacation, I ended up speaking with three different people from that department, but their communication and handover were smooth. The case study was quite extensive. I decided to skip detailing the execution part, believing my resume already demonstrated my ability to deliver projects and that execution is a collaborative effort for a PM. However, this proved to be a misjudgment and ultimately cost me the job opportunity.

Behavioral Technical

I had a three-step interview process. First, I spoke with a recruiter, Priyanka Kinger. Then, I met with the hiring manager. The final step involved meeting two teammates. The people team at Lightspeed did a great job managing the process. The interviews got progressively harder, with the last one really digging into my background and expertise. I liked that they gave me a good overview of the role and the current challenges. It felt more like a mutual exploration of how I could help solve their problems and if I'd like working there, instead of just being tested. Everyone was professional and respectful.

Behavioral Technical

I was contacted by HR and had a 45-minute call about the role, company, and my background. I was told the first round would be an informal chat with the hiring manager, but the invite for the technical interview showed it would actually be a panel interview with a Sr Director and another Group PM. This second interview was behavioral, covering my experience and background. I didn't proceed further. The process was disappointing because a surprising first question from the Sr Director about my name and origin threw me off, and I also found it frustrating that after nearly 2 hours of interviews, I never received any feedback or update from HR, despite sending follow-up notes. I felt my time wasn't valued and the lack of closure reflects poorly on the company.
