Software Engineer
So, the interview process had three stages. First, there was an initial screening. Then, I had a video interview with the lead engineer, which involved a technical portion. I didn't do well on that technical part because they asked me a threading problem, which caught me off guard. The recruiter had mentioned OOP and threading as important topics before, but I didn't expect an actual programming question on threading. I was anticipating more LeetCode-style or OOP design questions.
- Could you write a program that utilizes two threads to output the elements of a list, ensuring that the threads print alternately after each output?
Software Engineer
Standard technical questions about common game dev programming languages and relevant experience with game dev. Behavioral questions and an easy leetcode coding problem on a whiteboard were asked. They were pretty nice.
- What is your experience with Unity?
- What experience do you have with common game development programming languages?
- Can you describe your relevant experience with game development?
Software Engineer
It was a 4-round process. The first round was an online assessment for students with good CGPA. Those who passed the first round had in-office interviews for the remaining rounds. The second round was a technical one where they went through my resume, asked about OOP implementation, and gave me a Tic-Tac-Toe game to design and code, plus some SQL queries. The third round was a managerial round, also for those who passed the second. They asked about my projects and gave me a sorting algorithm problem. Clearing that led to the final, fourth round, which was an HR round with standard HR questions.
- Can you implement object-oriented programming languages?
- Have you solved data structures and algorithms problems?
- Can you write SQL queries?
