Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Liftoff.
Product Manager
It started with a recruiter phone screen, which was pretty standard. After that, I spoke with the hiring manager. That conversation included a live case interview where I had to work with their business model, and they also asked some general behavioral questions.
- If you were to enhance Taskrabbit, what key metric would you monitor?
Product Manager
The interview process was really disorganized. The phone screen was done by a PM who seemed to be multitasking and not fully engaged. While remote work is common, interviewers should be trained to dedicate their full attention during interviews.
- Can you discuss A/B testing and relevant metrics?
Product Manager
The recruiter was very helpful, offering guidance on the role's responsibilities and preparing me for the interviews. I then had two phone chats with the Head of Product (who would be my manager) before they invited me for an onsite interview. The interviews felt more like natural conversations with some challenges thrown in. Everyone on the team seemed to have a problem-solving mindset and enjoyed brainstorming. Overall, it was a good experience.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in Liftoff?
