Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Liftoff.
Ad Operations Analyst
The interview process was good. I spoke with a recruiter first, then took an assessment on performance marketing. After that, I had a chat with the hiring manager which went well. The final round was a discussion with three manager-level employees where they asked mostly behavioral questions and questions to understand my thought process. Communication skills were emphasized as the most important trait for the role. I was notified two days after the final round that I wasn't selected because they had raised their hiring standards due to COVID. It was a tough decision, but I felt good about my performance and enjoyed the experience.

Ad Operations Specialist
First, I had a phone interview with the Recruiter to go over the company and job details and check if I met the basic requirements. Then, a phone interview with the VP of Customer Success where we talked more about my experience, background, and career goals. After that, I went in person to interview with the CEO, CTO, and two Ad Ops team members. This part included some brain teasers and practical exercises. Finally, I had a video call with two Ad Ops team members to dive deeper into my technical skills and experience. Even though there were several rounds, they were really flexible with my schedule. Each stage also gave me a chance to ask my own questions about the company.
- Why do you want to work at LiftOff?
Business Operations Specialist
Liftoff reached out to me about an open role. I had a phone call with the hiring manager, and then they invited me for a 2-hour interview during my workday. Instead of explaining their business and how I'd fit, they expected me to already know everything about the company, its business model, and strategy.
