Technical Presentation

I interviewed at LO in Dec 2025. The whole thing took four weeks over the Christmas break. The recruiter and interviewers were all thoughtful during the process, which made me feel considered. They didn't ask too many domain-specific questions related to my ML background, but there was a paper discussion and a statistics-focused round. After all the interviews, the recruiter contacted me the next day, as I had offers and needed to make a decision. The HR team was very responsive, which was definitely a plus.

The interview process and interviewers were professional! It started with a Zoom call with a talent sourcer. After that, there were several technical interviews over Zoom. These included two LeetCode-style coding rounds, a paper reading round, and a machine learning problem design round. The final stage was an on-site interview, which featured a 2.5-hour coding round to implement something and a behavioral interview with the manager.

This was a really interesting interview process, felt like a genuine ML interview compared to others. It started with a regular phone screen, followed by a deep dive into ML basics. The onsite portion included a great paper review round where I had to review and implement a paper, then design and engineering rounds. It was much more engaging than the typical LeetCode grind.
