First, I filled out a questionnaire. Then, there was a brief phone chat to set up the in-person interview. The actual interview was an hour long at a support residence. I met with the manager and some of the people who use the services.

The whole process was just one interview and then an offer was made on the same day. I had to go to the head office the next day to process my right to work documents. It took about a month from when I applied to when I got the interview.

So for me, the interview process had two parts. First, there was a phone screening, where if your application looked good, Lifeways would give you a call for a quick chat. It's basically for them to ask you some initial questions and see your background and experience. Then, if you passed that, you'd get invited for an in-person or video interview. That's your time to really show what you can do, your skills, and why you're excited about the job. You should be ready for questions about behavior and different situations to prove your abilities.

I applied for a team leader and support worker role, but the job description changed during the interview. The pay offered was quite low for the hours required (40+ per week), which I feel doesn't make employees feel valued. The only motivation for the role would be the customers. High employee turnover suggests issues with how the company manages its staff.
