First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LifeStation.
VP Operations
The whole interview process took about 2 months and involved 9 conversations in total. I had to constantly follow up with the HR recruiter for updates on next steps and scheduling. The first 3 conversations were remote via Teams, and the rest were in person at their Union, NJ offices. The conversations went well and covered my work history and job details. No info on benefits was given. After 2 months, I followed up 3 times just to get a 2-sentence rejection email with no feedback. While not required, for a senior role and after 2 months of talks, it would have been nice to not chase for updates and get some feedback on where I missed the mark.
- Can you describe a situation where you faced a business challenge and explain how you achieved your objectives?
Customer Service Representative
After I submitted my application online, I was set up for an in-person interview. They showed us around the place and then we had to do a test to see how well we could do the job. If you did well on the test, you got to talk to a supervisor who would ask you a couple of questions. Then they checked my background and called my references. About a week after that, I got an offer letter in my email.
- What contributions do you believe you can make to this organization, and what is your reasoning for that?
Dispatcher
Before we get started, do some research on the company and prepare a few questions of your own, maybe about career advancement or other things. Don't stress too much, it's a pretty standard interview. The only part that might make you a bit nervous is the assessment test they send out beforehand. Again, don't stress about it, just do your best on each question. Make sure you don't rush through it since it's timed – nobody actually finishes the whole thing, they set it up that way on purpose.

Customer Service Representative
I had an initial interview where we were told to dress business professional. It was with a group of about seven people, and we reviewed the opening positions, hours, and pay. After that, we had a timed 12-minute test. They said if the results were good, we'd get a call for a second interview. The second interview was about getting to know me and my work experience, and we did some mock calls to see how I'd handle different situations.
