The interviewers, who were engineers and nice, asked multiple questions about my resume and projects. There was also one detailed question on how to design a game with both backend and frontend components. This design question was quite challenging and involved many different aspects.

I did a code assessment, then a phone screen, and finally a full team onsite which was remote. The onsite was about 3 hours long and involved discussions about tech, culture, and the company mission. I really liked talking to everyone and felt it was a great company. However, despite the interview going well, I was ghosted for the final decision. I had to reach out to the recruiter to find out what happened. It turned out a lack of React experience was the issue, which is understandable. But, a quick call or at least a response would have been more professional. It seems like a great place with talented people, but the way the outcome was communicated left a bad impression.

So I had a video call that was about 45 minutes and then a 3-hour on-site. They gave me a coding challenge before the on-site, it was pretty easy but took me a bit longer because I'm not super familiar with React. The on-site was a bunch of video calls with different people from the team. I had to bring my laptop and code live for them. I thought the interview went really well, the questions they asked felt like a good way to see what I knew. Everyone was super nice and helped me feel less nervous.
