Store Manager
Applied on-line, got a call to come in and meet with the Store Manager. Went in and talked off to the side in the store. Two days later met with the District Store Manager (DSM) up in the food court area of the mall. Was told by DSM that I would be contacted in the latter part of the next week. But me being me I still called early in the week just to touch base. The whole process up to now is very lengthy. I was offered the job maybe about a little under a week following the interviews. Still waiting on background check to clear. It's now almost 2 weeks after initial correspondence. If you're patient you can wait if not I would encourage you to either keep following up or have other options on the table.
- Can you tell me about your past experience?
- What are your career goals for the next five years?
- Describe a situation from your previous work experience and how you handled it.
Assistant Store Manager
I had two interviews for this role. The first was with the store manager, and it covered the typical interview questions. They really want to hear detailed answers, so they want you to talk a lot and not be shy. The second interview was with the DSM, which felt a bit more intimidating, but it actually turned out to be really comfortable and easy to talk to. Each interview lasted about 20-30 minutes.
- Can you tell me about a time you provided excellent customer service?
- Describe a situation where you exceeded expectations in your work.
Store Manager
the interviewing process was rather short. it took a total of 30 minuted to complete and was done by the store manager. After they asked questions they wanted me to try and sell a product to a customer. After they offered me a discount on a hat for my time helping them sell a product. Overall was rather easy compared to other jobs. The interview process was short
- How would you approach customer service scenarios?
