This was a VERY long interview and hiring process. After applying, I got a call to set up a phone interview within a few days. The time between steps was fast, but there were so many steps that it took forever overall. After the phone interview, there was an online assessment, which was pretty standard. Then came a very in-depth background check, like an interrogation. They checked my background, credit history, education – literally everything. I was asked questions that felt like they invaded my privacy and were completely unrelated. After the background check and phone interview (both done by corporate in NJ), I met and interviewed with the team leader at the store I applied for. I heard back less than 4 hours after my in-store assessment that I got the job. I started a week and a half later with two weeks of in-store training. The first week was a drag, but the second week I was making sales. Then there were two weeks of training in Ramsey, NJ, which was awful. I highly recommend driving instead of flying if possible. The hotel (Courtyard Marriott, which was nice) is right on a highway, making it hard to get anywhere without coordinating with others for the shuttle. After passing a final exam, I finally got to start working in the store. The whole process took 6 weeks. Since I was paid, I can't complain too much, but it was just very long.

I had a 25-minute phone interview. The questions were pretty straightforward. During the interview, there was a lot of background noise from other people talking, who I think were travel agents. Because of this, we had to hang up and try calling back to finish the interview. Overall, it was an easy interview, not a big deal.

First, you apply online on our website. Then, there's a phone interview. If they like you, you'll do a personality test and some background check stuff. If all that checks out okay, they'll invite you for an in-store assessment, which is a quick interview and some assessments. If that goes well, they offer you the job!
