The interview process involved a single recruiter call where I was asked about my motivations for joining as an Ambassador for LG electronics and the experience store, and how I would increase the visitor rate of Gen Z to the store.

It was pretty informal and straightforward. I got a customer referral to the hiring manager. I applied online and then called the hiring manager directly. After a short talk, HR got in touch for a telephone screen. Then an interview with the hiring manager was set up, and I met them face-to-face. Next, I had an interview with the group leader, a one-on-one, and then a face-to-face panel interview with the marketing team. After that, I met the division head for a quick ten-minute chat. HR followed up to find out about my salary needs and expectations. I got the offer letter the next day via FedEx with instructions. The hiring manager called to see what I thought... I happily accepted the offer.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I interviewed for a brand marketing role in their cell phone division, which is currently third in the market behind Samsung and Apple. The initial phone and Skype interviews were great; the people felt like family, and HR was amazing throughout. However, the live interview was a total mess, the worst final round I've ever experienced. Despite the phone division's potential and opportunities, they seemed disorganized. I spoke with the head of marketing, and I ended up asking most of the questions, which was strange for such a critical role. I also had concerns about his English proficiency for leading a business unit, which might explain his lack of confidence. Then I interviewed with Ray Cruz, who leads trade marketing. He was incredibly hostile, peppering me with rapid-fire questions and making assumptions about my resume, saying 'is it fair to say xyz' and then getting upset when I disagreed. His background was in lower-tier CPG (RB, I think). He went way over time, cutting short my chance to speak with the head of digital social, who I was really impressed with. This whole situation felt like a major failure in senior leadership's talent evaluation process because Ray's behavior and time management issues prevented a proper evaluation.
