Behavioral Technical Presentation Case

The interview process started with a 15-minute video call on a platform. This was followed by a 45-minute HR interview, a standard interview. Then, a 45-minute interview with the Manager, also a standard interview, which included writing a report of the meeting in a free format (email, ppt, pdf...). The 4th interview was a 30-minute sales simulation (discovery, service sales) with a debrief. A phone call with the 'coach' before the interview is possible and highly recommended. There was about a week of preparation time. The 5th and 6th interviews were with N+2, standard interviews. It's a long process that requires personal investment (writing the report + preparing the sales presentation).

Behavioral Presentation Other

The first step involved recording yourself answering questions on video. This was followed by a Zoom call with someone who seemed to be promoted beyond their capabilities. As a sales professional with 15 years of senior sales experience, I found myself being interviewed by a very junior individual, likely a recent graduate with no prior work experience outside this company. While age isn't the main issue, experience is crucial. It seemed odd that the interviewer had significantly less experience and had only worked here. Sales involves negotiation, and an interview is a lead-up to discussing salary. Wanting to maintain leverage for future negotiations, I kept my cards close to my chest. Despite this approach, the interviewer perceived me as not enthusiastic enough, possibly due to emotional projection on his part. Ultimately, despite being overqualified and demonstrating strong past performance, the interview didn't proceed because I wasn't willing to relinquish my negotiating power. He seemed out of his depth and lacked the experience to act as a trusted advisor.
