So you start by submitting your application online through the LexisNexis careers portal. If your application looks good, a recruiter might give you a call for an initial screening to chat about your background and why you're interested. Then, depending on the role, there could be a technical or functional interview to check out your specific skills. After that, there's a behavioral interview to see how you'd fit in with the company culture and if your past experiences match what they need. Some jobs might also have extra assessments like case studies or technical tests to see how you solve problems.

Presentation Behavioral

The interview process took about 3-4 weeks. I initially spoke with recruiters and the hiring manager via phone and email. Then, I was invited for an in-person meeting. The Friday before my Monday interview, I was asked to prepare two 10-minute presentations: one on a topic of my choice and another about LexisNexis. I was also given a scenario and asked how I would handle it, which I had to present to the hiring manager and three of her staff during the in-person interview. The in-person interview lasted exactly 60 minutes as they had interviews scheduled every 75 minutes. I met with four pleasant women during the interview. My concern is about the post-interview treatment. Some questions couldn't be answered by the interview panel, who suggested I ask the recruiter. I emailed all three recruiters I had been in contact with, as I wasn't sure who to direct my questions to. Despite preparing extensively, printing handouts, and rehearsing, I received an automated email from LexisNexis instead of a personal follow-up from any of the recruiters or the hiring manager. I believe candidates should be treated with dignity and respect, and a brief phone call or email would have sufficed to inform me of their decision. I hope HR reviews this. Notably, no one ever answered my questions.

This took around 3-4 months. I interviewed with a bunch of people, including a VP and the head of the division. There was also a personality profile test that I had to pass to get on the sales team. They really wanted to make sure it was a good investment because they said it takes about 2 years to get someone up to speed.
