I met with an HR recruiter at my university and got a phone interview with her. The recruiter didn't say what I was interviewing for, which was annoying. She asked basic behavioral questions and seemed excited about me potentially working there. She also mentioned another manager I'd talk to. She pitched the company and described it. Then, I had to do an online personality test she emailed me (Myers Briggs, I think. It had weird questions like 'People who go fishing do it because: A. They want to meet new people B. They are unhappy C. They are looking to make connections,' and you had to pick the best answer. It took about 30-45 minutes. Right after I submitted it, she emailed a few days later saying I didn't qualify for any of their jobs. I felt like I wasted a lot of time, especially since I never knew what specific job I was interviewing for, so I'm guessing it was for sales.

I applied and got a call from the recruiter. We chatted about my experience and the job, like the company culture and pay. If they liked me, I had to do a behavioral test. If that went well, I had an interview with the VP of Sales. Then, I went to Denver for a bunch of interviews with different people, including the CEO, which was like 6 interviews in 6 hours. After that, I flew home. A few days later, I had another call with the VP, then another, and then a final in-person interview with the VP. The whole thing took about a month and three weeks.

I went through three interviews for this Managed Services role, but honestly, I never got a clear job description or even a solid idea of what the job was about. It felt like the role kept changing with each meeting, and that vibe continued even after I was hired. When I tried to ask what success looked like for someone in this position, the question was always tossed back at me. From the VP of Technology to the person who seemed to be the hiring manager, nobody could really tell me what they were looking for. They kept saying the company was entrepreneurial and that people have to forge their own paths. I guess I was supposed to figure out everything that needed doing and just make it happen. The weirdest thing was that one interviewer seemed really concerned about my commute.

Started with a phone interview with HR. Then had an in-person with the NM manager. After that, I got a homework assignment. Then I did a ride along with an AE. Finally, I had a couple more phone interviews, one with the corporate trainer and another with the VP of Sales. After the VP call, I got the offer.
