It was super casual, barely an interview. They walked me through what the job would look like, gave me a tour, and asked if I could handle it. We sat down for like 5 minutes at the beginning and went through my resume, and they asked about my availability.

I applied online for a job at the US Open and about a week later, I got an email for an in-person interview. It was a group interview, with maybe 30-40 people present. After filling out some paperwork, I was called in to speak with the recruiter. They asked me about my customer service experience and why I was interested in working for Levy. Right after that, I was told I got the job and would need to attend training in two weeks before starting. Oh, and everyone needs to complete an online alcohol awareness quiz before the training session. It's pretty straightforward. Just make sure to dress appropriately (some people wore suits, but not everyone) and be friendly, and it should go well. Also, have at least two past experiences ready that are relevant to the job you're applying for.

Make sure you don't show up in jeans or any casual clothes, it should be obvious, but you'd be surprised how many people do, even if you're just there to fill out an application, the interview might happen on the spot. Dress professional, act professional, answer what you can, be honest. All of these things will go a long way. Don't wait for them to call you after 5 days, be persistent, but polite. Call them back several times if you haven't heard anything.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Can you describe your wine knowledge.
