First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Leviton.
Mechanical Engineer
First I got an email to schedule a basic recruiter phone screen. Then there were two more interviews via Skype with management and HR, these were behavioral. The last interview was with the director of HR. It took about 4 weeks to get the offer. The company tends to hire a lot from NY and WA schools, so they get really smart engineers, but the backgrounds aren't super diverse.
- Can you walk me through a specific project mentioned on your resume?
Mechanical Engineer
I had 3 on-site interviews with the hiring manager, product line manager, and production manager. It was okay overall, but the offered salary didn't really match the high cost of living, and they seemed too focused on cost savings.
- A question about beam deflection
- A design challenge question
Mechanical Design Engineer
The hiring process took about four weeks and included a four-hour on-site interview with several managers. The first day was about benefits and company policies. The team made me feel welcome and part of the family really fast.
