Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Leviton.
Electrical Engineer
First me and a hiring manager had an email exchange, then the hiring manager had a quick screening process online, then I had a half an hour online interview with the general Engineering manager.
- Given a simple circuit with +5V at the top, 0V at the bottom, and two 5k ohm resistors in between, what is the voltage across the resistors?
Electrical Engineering Intern
The interview process was really well organized. Each session was 30 minutes long and I spoke with engineers, managers, and lab supervisors. We talked about my past work and projects. It was a cool experience getting to chat with the engineers and learn about the company's culture and how they do engineering.
- Can you describe your programming experience, specifically with VBA, as that was the most challenging part?
Electrical Engineer
I applied online and heard back via email for a phone interview with hiring managers. In total, I had six 30-minute interviews. Three of these were in person, and the others were over the phone. Two of the six interviews were with hiring managers from the Meville and Bethel offices. The questions were pretty straightforward and mostly behavioral, focusing on how well I could explain engineering concepts.
- Could you tell me about your senior project?
- What classes have you taken?
