I started with a recruiter phone screening back in January. After a week of no response, I waited another two weeks to finally hear back in February. A different recruiter then scheduled me for a phone interview with the hiring manager. There was a scheduling mix-up with time zones; the recruiter told the hiring manager the PST time in EST, causing me to miss class for an interview three hours earlier than planned. A couple days later, I followed up and waited another week and a half before my recruiter set up another phone interview with higher management. Following that interview, I waited two weeks and then followed up to get a rejection within two hours.

I was reached out to by the department I was applying to. We had a first call where we talked about the job and my past experience. Two days later, I got a message to set up an in-person interview for the next Thursday. I sent my availability and the next day got an automated email from HR saying the job was filled. I tried to confirm with the person I was talking to, but they never replied. They also mentioned that there would be a lot of downtime and cleaning involved. I'm not sure why they'd say that during an interview.

5 phone interviews, talking to different department heads each time. very selective and spread out, people are serious. They have a lot of people and alot of different departments so it takes awhile for them to figure out if you are right for the job and which department they will place you in. Whats cool is that each interview was with a different department head.
