Software Engineer
The hiring process started with a screening by the talent acquisition team, followed by a technical interview. It was an overall smooth, professional, and enjoyable experience, with a friendly atmosphere throughout.
- Describe your approach to problem-solving and data structures. How would you implement an undo/redo feature?
- Given a problem, how would you approach solving it using data structures? For instance, how would you create an undo/redo functionality?
Software Engineer, Backend
The interview process was straightforward. I was contacted by the office admin to schedule the interview. When the day came, I arrived on time and started the interview. It was challenging, with many educational questions and discussions. A major issue arose during a Systems Design question. I presented my solution, but the interviewer seemed unsatisfied and smirked. I mentioned it was my first time designing such a system and that I was open to suggestions. His response was, "I am here to judge you, not to educate you." After that, the interview felt over for me.
- Do you have experience with GraphQL?
- Design the system architecture for a given set of four user stories.
- Questions on basic object-oriented programming principles.
Software Engineer Intern
I had a one-hour online interview via zoom. It had technical and non-technical questions, mainly focusing on problem-solving and database topics. This was the only recruitment step, no other tests or assessments.
- Could you solve this simple problem-solving question for me by sharing your screen and writing the code in the IDE?
- Do you have any database questions?
