I sent my application in online, but you only should apply if the job is posted on the site. I got a call for an interview, and first met with the scheduling manager. Then he sent me to the General Manager of the restaurant for the actual interview.

The best way to get a job at Lettuce is to apply in person between 2-4pm when the lunch rush is over and managers might have time to chat. If you don't get to speak with them, don't worry, just follow up. After you fill out the application, ask to see a manager. They'll likely talk to you about available positions and your past restaurant experience. Even if you don't have experience, they might still hire you but could start you in hosting or carry-out. Many people who started in those roles eventually became servers after a few months.

Behavioral

The job application process involved moving between different job-posting websites. The first manager I spoke with was polite and professional, making sure not to be rude. However, the second manager was aggressive and quite toxic, frequently interrupting and becoming upset when I did the same back to them. This experience shifted my interest from wanting the job to not wanting it. It's unclear if this was a deliberate tactic, like good cop/bad cop, but they struggled to handle their own flaws being pointed out, despite highlighting many of mine. They also laughed at me personally when I shared some of the challenges I've faced recently.
