A recruiter from Chicago reached out about a contract role with the possibility of becoming permanent after three to six months. The contract pays hourly. We had an initial screen over Skype (video and audio) followed by an on-site interview. During the on-site, they mentioned that anything on my resume could be questioned, so it's important to only list skills I can back up with technical answers. I met with the hiring manager (who was a developer), two team members, and two executives. Each meeting was 30 minutes. Unfortunately, I was told after the interview that a decision was delayed indefinitely due to budget issues.

First, make sure you're dressed well. Figure out where the interview is and be there on time. Bring a copy of your resume. It's good to research the job details and learn about the company beforehand. While waiting, be aware of your surroundings. Make sure to smile and greet the interviewer. Then, introduce yourself. Talk about your past work experiences, your education, and any activities you did in university. Also, mention any training you've completed. Finally, be ready to discuss your background, including hobbies and family life, and explain what knowledge you have that would be beneficial for working at the company.
