I talked with HR and the agency head. It was pretty casual. They had been trying to recruit me for a while, and then we met up with the agency head for a drink. I really liked their passion for growing the market and the creative vibe of the office, and the people I'd be working with. The HR lead was checking for culture fit.

Behavioral Presentation

A recruiter reached out because they were really impressed with my work. It took about 5 days to set up the interview. I had a 3.5 hour interview at 9am with 4 creative directors. It felt pretty casual, maybe too casual, but it was definitely long. Afterwards, I was told they'd be in touch. I sent a bunch of thank you notes and emails, but heard nothing back for 4 weeks - no updates at all. Finally, I got an email saying I wasn't the right fit. But then, they sent another email about a possible AD/UX creative position they thought might suit my talents. I haven't been an AD in 6 years and wasn't interested in going back for a long shot or a lower title. I was really disappointed with the company's recruitment and communication, especially since I've always wanted to work at Leo Burnett.

I was freelancing at the company for a few months, and I had a good experience and won a couple of pitches. They then asked me if I wanted a full-time position, which was a good fit for me.
