First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lenovo.
Project Manager
The first step was a recruiter call where they asked me some basic screening questions. Then, I had a conversation with the hiring manager. He explained that his leadership style is more about management than being a hands-on individual contributor, and he trusts his team with a lot of autonomy. He also shared that he typically moves between different departments or functional areas every one to two years.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Project Manager
Online interview, with questions about professional background and experiences related to project management (but very interested in IT project management). There was also a moment when they asked about English fluency and the interview continued in English.
- Could you describe your experience with project management?
- Have you worked with agile methodologies before?
- How have you worked with agile methodologies?
Senior Project Manager
I got referred by someone I know at Lenovo. First, there was a phone interview, then an in-person interview where I met with a few people. The day after that, HR called with an offer.
- Could you share some insights about your background?
- What motivated your application for this position?
- What do you consider to be your key strengths and areas for development?
