First, I had an interview with HR, mostly for background questions. After that, I interviewed with the hiring manager. Then I had a meeting with the head of the hiring manager. Lastly, I finished with an interview with two of my potential colleagues.

I found the job opening on LinkedIn and applied. About three weeks later, a recruiter reached out to screen my resume. The very next day, I was invited for an in-person interview with the Hiring Manager. During the interview, I was asked about specific technical skills that weren't mentioned in the job description. A week after that, I got a system notification saying they'd decided to go with another candidate, without any real feedback for negotiation or areas for professional growth.

They flew me out to NC for a Meet & Greet. We got a lot of info about the program and the company. I met many managers and some execs. It was a good chance to talk to people and get a feel for the culture. The morning after the Meet & Greet, I interviewed with two managers. The interview was very laid back. After the interview, we had to do a quick presentation as if selling Lenovo to a customer, in front of execs/managers. It felt intimidating, but it was fine. Then, we were put in teams and had to do an activity: make up a game and present it in 10 minutes. The activity can vary, but that's the general idea.

  • Could you tell us something about yourself?
