They had one technical round and one hr round, but then another hr round to select the lowest package among the finalists. They don't care if you have an M.S., Ph.D., or post-doc; they want cheap labor with high qualifications and experience.

Applied in October, the hiring process took a few months due to the holidays. Had a first phone interview in November, followed by a second about a week later. The in-person interview lasted around 6 hours with 7 people, including a lunch interview. About two weeks later, I was called back for another interview with a different department, thinking it was for an offer. Two weeks after that, I received the job offer. Apparently, the first interviews went well, but I wasn't the right fit for their specific needs. They recommended me to another department, which worked out perfectly. I really enjoy my current job and the position I was placed in.
