First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lennar.
Sales Consultant
So I had an interview with this person, she was really rigid and didn't seem to have much personality. At the end, she told me I'd need to interview with another sales manager and that her assistant would call to set it up. I sent a thank you email, but after days of no response, I followed up again. I was then told they had limited space in that region, which made no sense why they'd interview me! Well, about a month later, I applied for the same job but in a different city. The same person who did the first interview called me to set up a virtual interview with the same manager I'd already met. I mentioned this, and she said she'd call the manager, check her schedule, and call me back the next day. That was almost two weeks ago, and I've heard nothing. I've emailed twice. This company's behavior is completely unprofessional.
- Could you describe a typical day for you as an onsite agent?
Sales Consultant
It was exhaustive and felt discriminatory! I went through 3 different interview occasions with a total of 6 people. The last one required me to drive an hour. Their greeting lacked warmth, which was the first red flag. I met with district leadership. They asked my daughter's age and how long ago I moved to NC for college, which felt like age discrimination. The interview didn't make me feel like I'd be treated well, respected, or valued. It went on for over an hour, and then they told me I didn't pass the caliper test and wasn't a good fit. It makes me wonder why they'd have a final interview if that was the case. I feel bad for the Lennar sales employees now. I hope the pay is good enough!
- Can you introduce yourself?
Sales Consultant
I went to a big hiring event. My interview was in person, and I thought it went pretty well. All the team managers were there interviewing people at their own tables. There were a lot of people there, like over 300, so there was a long wait. I felt pretty comfortable though, and the manager I talked to was really nice.
- Do you know how new homes are built?
- Are you familiar with the various types of loans available?
