Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lennar.
Financial Analyst
The interview process began with a recruiter phone call where they discussed the role, emphasizing its high impact, and then scheduled a 30-minute hiring manager interview. However, the recruiter later called to cancel the interview. During the initial recruiter call, questions about sponsorship, salary expectations, and relocation were asked. It seemed strange that the interview was canceled after notes were taken and a hiring manager interview was scheduled.
- Given that this is a high impact role, please describe your skills and experience.
Financial Analyst
I went through a few interviews with some managers, spread out over different days. They asked a mix of finance questions and scenario-based ones to see how I approach problems.
- What kind of work environment do you prefer?
- How do you collaborate with colleagues?
- What's your strategy for dealing with challenging people?
Financial Analyst
This was a tough interview, with questions that really focused on hard skills over soft skills. The interviewer mainly asked about my analytical abilities. The environment felt a bit uncomfortable. It lasted for an hour.
- Could you teach me one of your hard skills in about 10 minutes?
