I interviewed for a finance role. The interviewer seemed uninterested and unable to answer questions about the role's future or opportunities. I felt pressured to talk and got the vibe that the job was already filled. It seemed like a formality.

The interview process was in different stages. The first stage was a psychometric tests, follower by a video interview that included 2-3 questions relating to your own experience. After this - we had an online assessment center which included a case assessment where we were given materials to discuss. Finally, I had an interview with a panel of 3-4 interviewers.

Behavioral Technical

The whole interview process took over 11 weeks. I applied online and got a call from a recruiter within two weeks. The call was mostly good, though it felt like the recruiter was testing my mental toughness, which I appreciated given the job's demands. After that, I had a second interview with three local team members, two of whom were managers. These interviews were basic and more standard than the first one. About three weeks later, I met with senior leadership from different parts of the country. Throughout this, I thought things were going well and everyone I met was pleasant. My issue is with Lend Lease setting incorrect expectations. They initially said a decision would be made around Thanksgiving 2016, then it moved to Christmas 2016, and by early January 2017, I still had no clear info on the position's status. I understand hiring takes time, especially for a global company, but it's hard to believe management is still undecided. I can handle rejection, but the waiting and lack of communication are confusing, especially when I had to reach out for updates and wasn't even told they were moving on with other candidates. Lend Lease seems like a great company doing good work, especially for the military, and the employees I met seemed happy, suggesting good management locally. I hope my experience is unique and not what others go through. To this day, I haven't heard if they're moving forward with me or someone else; I can only guess.
