I talked to a recruiter from a subcontractor first. Then there was a 4-person interview with the hiring manager, two team leads, and a team member. They asked about my experience and some technical stuff related to my background. It was pretty easy overall.

So I applied for the job and then the recruiter emailed me a questionnaire to check if I met the minimum qualifications. I filled it out, and about two weeks later, I had an interview that went for an hour. I was pretty confident I got about 90% of the questions right, but the hiring manager and the other interviewer seemed a bit off about it. It felt like I was maybe too good for what they expected, so they just kept hitting me with all sorts of questions. Then the lead interviewer said they had other candidates to see, and honestly, I just felt like there was prejudice and racial sentiment involved. The next week, the recruiter let me know I wasn't selected. I asked for feedback, but they never gave any, which is fine, but it was pretty clear it was another case of racial bias. Seems like only Caucasians have a real shot at interviewing and getting hired here; otherwise, you might just be wasting your time.

So the interview process was pretty good. Jane and Tom seemed really into it, and asked some really good questions that let me talk about my work. I also got a good vibe for the company culture, they seem to really care about working together and coming up with new ideas, which is awesome. I liked talking about my past projects, especially my content marketing and how I got people involved. One thing I could do better next time is not take so long on my answers, gotta be quicker but still give the info. Also, I wish I'd asked them more about what they're dealing with now and where they want to go. That would've shown I was really interested.
