First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Leidos.
Intelligence Analyst
The interview process was really smooth, with a mix of technical and personal questions. I had two rounds. Salary negotiation was tough, they wouldn't budge on the pay. But the PTO and 401(k) benefits were too good to pass up.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?

The interview was professional but also pretty relaxed. When I got there, the receptionist greeted me and told me to sit down and wait for the person in charge. I met with the two guys who run the project I applied for. They first gave a quick rundown of their backgrounds, and then I shared mine. The main part of the interview focused on my past work experiences and how flexible my schedule is.
- What is your motivation for joining Leidos?
Intelligence Analyst
After applying, I got an email saying they were interested in setting up an interview. I then got a phone call to schedule a time. The whole interview was over the phone. I talked to two people back-to-back on the same call, which lasted a bit over an hour. Mostly, I answered questions about my background, how I perform, and my skills. We also talked about salary and if I would relocate. There were a few personality and situation questions too, like asking about a tough challenge I faced and how I handled it. I only spoke with the Site Lead for about 10-15 minutes, mostly for intros and pleasantries. After finishing with both interviewers, I was put on hold for 2-3 minutes. When they came back, they said they were impressed with my answers and personality, so they offered me the job right then and there, saying there was no need for another call. Even though my experience wasn't an exact match for the job description and their area of work, they decided I was qualified because of my background and my willingness to learn their mission.
- Were you willing to work alternating shifts?
- Tell me about a time you faced a tough challenge and what you did to get past it.
