It was a 1-hour Teams call. They told me to brush up on my electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic skills. Knowing the basics of that and some hospital field basics, the interview went alright technically. However, my interviewer didn't have their camera on and also didn't seem to care for the stories I tried to sneak in that exemplified adaptability or resourcefulness. It seemed like they were reading from a script. Wasn't terrible, but wasn't great. It seems like they're hiring solely off technical ability, which isn't a bad thing but doesn't promote culture.

The interviewer seemed uninterested in my background and experience, leading me to believe they might have been looking for an excuse to travel. They spent most of the time discussing their team's field activities rather than interviewing me. I had to seize brief moments to highlight my qualifications. I was then given a quick 10-minute virtual troubleshooting quiz. The next day, the recruiter informed me that my troubleshooting skills were deemed insufficient, which I found surprising given my extensive real-world experience. This experience, along with mentions of other employees leaving or being on extended leave, suggests a particular company culture.
