My interviewer didn't seem to be very engaged, looking around a lot while asking questions. I felt like she wasn't really listening to me. I have over 10 years of experience in food and beverage service and I don't think I got any questions wrong. The interview was on March 9, 2018.
- What was the hardest guest issue you had to deal with?
Retail Associate
Applied online and got an email a few days later to come in for a one-on-one interview the next day. After that, there was a group activity where about 20 people were split into groups and given made-up tasks, like deciding which items to bring to a desert island, to see how well we worked with others. Then, there was some role-play where we had to pretend the interviewer was a lost child and get down on our knees to 'help them out'. My attempt was awkward, but I worked well enough with the others and got an offer.
- Why are you interested in working here?
Retail Assistant
After applying online, I had a phone call with the recruitment team. They went over the role and then set me up for an interview with a manager via Microsoft Teams because of COVID. The interview itself was really nice and relaxed, and the employer was very friendly. I felt comfortable the entire time.
- Describe a situation where you had to react quickly and adapt to unexpected circumstances.
