I interviewed with 3 managers. The first was the recruiting manager, then a floor manager, and finally the general manager for Austin. They all assessed my personality to see if I'd be a good fit for the company. The last interview with the general manager focused on their expectations for the role and the learning curve involved.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

It started with a recruiter call to go over my background. Since it was a sales job, they asked me to describe my sales process and past experience, including my close ratio, plus the usual 'why do you want to work here?' questions. After that, I met with the hiring manager. Honestly, they did most of the talking for about two hours, kind of like a sales pitch to me. Then, I had a super quick interview, less than 3 minutes, with the VP in Austin. It was just a get-to-know-you chat. The process was surprisingly easy because the company has a really high turnover rate, so they're pretty lenient with hiring. It feels more like telemarketing than actual sales, which explains the high turnover and simple interview.

I first talked to a recruiter who walked me through the job. She sent me a 30-minute assessment that I completed the same day. The next day, they let me know I passed and scheduled my first 20-minute phone call with the Recruiting Manager. She asked a lot of questions and answered mine. After that, I had an hour-long in-person interview with the Regional Director, who then recommended me for hire. Finally, I had one more call with the VP of Sales.
