Predictive Analytics Modeler
Similar to another review, after I finished the last round and met the CEO, they reposted the job opening a few days later, and I got an automated rejection. I'm unsure if this company is actually hiring for this position. Apart from that, the interview process was pretty standard. However, none of the interviewers had their cameras on during the virtual interviews, which was a bit odd. Also, they're offering a salary of 50-60k for a role requiring machine learning and data analytics knowledge in 2025. That's not really feasible in this economy.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
Predictive Modeler
We did a few screening chats with the hiring manager, then a technical background chat and a quick phone call with some tech questions (ML concepts and SQL). Then a final talk with the CEO. The interviews were all good, interviewers were nice and helped a lot, but the CEO was kind of cold and didn't seem interested.

Predictive Analyst
So, I went through the interview process at LegalMatch, and it stretched out over about five weeks. It kicked off with a phone screen, then I had a behavioral chat with the manager; he was a bit stiff and asked the usual stuff about my past projects and work history. After that, I had a technical interview with someone who’s currently a predictive analyst there. We went over the fundamentals of machine learning, statistics, and SQL. The final part was supposed to be an in-person meeting with the CEO, but he was too swamped, so we ended up doing it via Teams. He mostly wanted to hear about my project experience and talked about his ideas for the company's future. All in all, it was pretty straightforward, but honestly, it felt kind of distant because everything was virtual, and nobody even turned on their cameras, which was a bit weird and made it feel disconnected. After my last interview, they reposted the job almost immediately, which made me think they were hunting for someone with more experience who’d be okay with less pay, yet still take on challenging AI and predictive analytics tasks. It seems like the company might be having some trouble and is trying to shift gears from their old sales-focused approach to something more tech-oriented. Whatever happens, good luck to whoever ends up taking the role.
- Can you explain what R squared is?
- What is the method for performing a full outer join?
Inside Sales Representative
I first talked to a recruiter who walked me through the job. She sent me a 30-minute assessment that I completed the same day. The next day, they let me know I passed and scheduled my first 20-minute phone call with the Recruiting Manager. She asked a lot of questions and answered mine. After that, I had an hour-long in-person interview with the Regional Director, who then recommended me for hire. Finally, I had one more call with the VP of Sales.
- Are you able to write a business email?
- Do you feel comfortable making cold calls?
