First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Legal Soft.
Paid Social Manager
I went through a pre-screening interview and it was a pretty rough experience. I ended up withdrawing my application right after. Some big red flags for me were when I mentioned I lived in Koreatown and they asked if I was Korean. They also couldn't answer basic questions I usually ask to gauge a company, like what the team structure is like and what resources are available for the role. I then asked about the salary range since it wasn't listed, and they didn't give me a straight answer, then told me it was an inappropriate question for a pre-screening. I wasn't willing to waste more time with Legalsoft if they weren't going to be respectful of my time. I'd be hesitant to interview with a company that provides legal services but then asks about ethnicity and avoids discussing salary bands, calling it 'inappropriate'.
- Can you describe your duties and responsibilities from previous positions?
- Could you tell me about the team structure?
- What kind of internal and external resources will be available to help with the job responsibilities?
Lawyer
The recruitment and training staff were great and professional. I met with both Filipino and Spanish recruiters and trainers who helped me with the interview setup. The first interview was with the recruiter, followed by an AI-assisted self-interview. The final interview was with the client law firm's managing partner and the Legal Soft representative. I got an offer just a few hours after my interview.
- How have your previous professional experiences prepared you for this position?
- What motivated your job change from A to B?
- Do you envision a long-term career path for yourself in this role?
Marketing Manager
I applied for a marketing manager director job and heard back and interviewed within a week. Although I applied for a marketing role, the job posting responsibilities didn't match the actual expected responsibilities, which were closer to sales. When I asked about this, one of the three people I met with said not to worry about marketing yet because the position would focus on sales. The posting also said 'compensation PLUS commission', but when I asked about salary, they said the pay listed was 'compensation INCLUDING possible commission.' I double-checked the saved job posting, and it clearly stated 'compensation PLUS commission.' The base salary was much lower than advertised, and there was no mention of sales/calls in the responsibilities. Everyone I met was nice, but I'm disappointed the job posting was misleading.
- Can you discuss your past work experience?
- What are your thoughts on making outgoing calls?
- In your previous roles, did you conduct any product demonstrations?
Paralegal
I had several Zoom interviews with prospective employers. The first one was directly with the recruitment staff at Legal Soft Solution. Afterward, they sent me interviews with different firms. In one case, since there wasn't just one initial recruiter, I wasn't sure what happened with previous interviews. Only after the first interview did they send me feedback or at least a response that I wasn't selected. In the following ones, I wasn't clear if I was still in the process or not because they would send an interview request from another firm. Generally, I think everything has gone well, and I'm starting training on the last day of this month. Before the interview starts, they put candidates in a virtual room and explain a bit about who the client is and what they're looking for, so one can start thinking about what attributes to highlight to get the job.
- Can you introduce yourself and talk about your experience?
- Based on what we've explained about the position, how can you emphasize the fit between what is needed and what you can offer the company?
