I only had one interview with two people, and they asked questions about my experience related to the position. They also asked about working with vulnerable populations. Because of the crediting process, which is part of the CBA, it took a couple of weeks to get a final offer, and I started about a month after my interview.

Confirmed questions5 questions
  • What experience do you have working with underprivileged populations?
  • How would you handle an intake call with a client who is discussing unrelated topics and how would you get them back on track?
  • Do you prefer working independently or as part of a team?

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

I applied for a few jobs at LAF and went through some interviews. There isn't one specific way they interview people. Some interviews were on Skype with three people, one was in person with two people, and another was in person with two separate groups of two interviewers. Two of the interviews had set questions, while one was more of a chat. All interviews focused on how I would handle complex client issues.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • How will you handle the stress of a large caseload in a high-stress area of law?
  • How will you manage a large caseload in an area of law that causes clients stress?

Behavioral Other

The interview process was very informal. They seemed more concerned with whether I would be comfortable working in their group. The interview was conducted by the supervisor and an ombudsman paralegal. Both asked simple questions, but no traditional interview questions were asked, such as "Describe your strengths and weaknesses".

Confirmed questions1 question
  • What experience do you have as an advocate?
