Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was conducted professionally. It started with a screening call with HR, followed by a Zoom meeting with the department lead. The next step was a take-home task that involved preparing a strategy to improve customer accounts, which I then presented to the team. Although I didn't receive an offer, I appreciated the phone call informing me of the decision. The task made the interviews feel difficult, but otherwise, it was a smooth and easy process.

The process kicked off with a 30-min call with Talent, then I talked with the Head of Sales Engineering. After that, I had to do a 1-hour panel presentation using their platform and resources. The experience was good, they communicated well. The task matched the job description skills. They gave feedback during the demo. Even though I didn't get the job, they let me know by phone, which was cool because I could ask more questions.

Had 5 interviews total. First was an initial screening call with talent acquisition, which was really friendly and positive. Then a full hour-long interview with the team leader, which was also super positive and thorough. After that, there was a full hour-long presentation where I had to do 50 slides on the expertise area of the role, and the interview panel was really lovely. Then I interviewed with the CFO, who was friendly but seemed to expect a really high standard for the salary they were offering, in my opinion. Lastly, I interviewed with the COO, who was nice and asked me situational questions. Sadly, I didn't get the offer because they mentioned they found a more qualified candidate who applied while I was interviewing, which is fair. But I had to chase them for feedback, and they emailed me back with the reason, copy-pasted in a different font, which felt a bit impersonal given how long the interview process was. Also, I think they relisted the role, and when I asked about it, they never replied to confirm or deny or give me feedback on what experience I was lacking. All the prep for the first interview and the presentation took ages, so I feel a bit let down by the whole experience. :(

Behavioral Presentation Technical

The hiring manager, who was the current Director of Enterprise CS, reached out to me on LinkedIn. We had a chill 30-minute informal chat that went great. She then passed me to the recruiter for the next stage. The recruiter asked some behavioral questions and the usual screening questions. Since all the leaders were at a company conference, they decided to skip a round and have me do the 90-minute presentation because of my experience. The task was to present a complete CS plan for increasing retention and revenue for Enterprise CS, which was basically my intellectual property. I also had to create a PowerPoint for it and submit it before the presentation. This took me about two weeks to finish. I presented to the VP and two Directors, and they only gave me compliments. The VP and one Director even responded after I sent a thank you note. After waiting almost two weeks, the recruiter called to say I didn't get the job because they chose another candidate. Interestingly, I've checked their LinkedIn and they haven't hired a new Enterprise CS Director. This makes me suspect my ideas were stolen and used for a role that might not even exist. So, be warned: don't do presentation assignments for them, as the position could be fake.
