Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lear Corporation.
Quality Engineer
It was a pretty standard process, divided into three parts. First, a phone chat to see if I was a good fit and what the job was all about. Then, a technical chat with the hiring manager, followed by a behavioral chat with HR. They got back to me quickly with feedback.
- What value would you add to this role, and what makes you the ideal candidate?
Supplier Quality Engineer
They started with an introduction, asked about a project, and then technical questions. Then they discussed our academics and the company. After that, they arranged another interview with a senior person where they asked HR questions, introduction and project-related questions, and more technical questions.
- Can you describe the different types of sheet metals?
- What are the various types of weldings?
Senior Quality Engineer
The recruiter initially reached out, and though I wasn't actively looking, I had a brief phone chat and sent over my resume. Within a week, I went in for an in-person interview at their facility, meeting with HR and the Quality Manager. The job offer came through the very next day.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
