First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LeanTaaS.
Product Manager
I went through 4 rounds of interviews. The first was a phone screen, then I had a take-home assignment I had about a week to complete. After that, there was a presentation of the assignment, and the final round was an onsite interview.
- What's your motivation for joining LeanTaaS?
Product Manager
The interview process involved an initial phone screen, a take-home assignment, another phone screen, and a final onsite interview. While my main contact was friendly, the overall process was lengthy, disorganized, and disregarded the candidate's time. Being out-of-state, I was informed after the second phone screen that the onsite would be conducted remotely via WebEx. I had 5 interviews scheduled back-to-back. The first interviewer was 15 minutes late, rushed through the interview, and stated he had no time for questions, directing me to email him instead. The second interviewer did not show up. The remaining 3 interviews were conducted over the phone instead of video. It was surprising that such a final interview round was treated so casually, not allowing adequate time for mutual learning. I later understood they might not have been serious about my application, and after following up a week later, I was informed the position had been filled.
- Assess your technical capabilities.
Product Manager
The interview process was pretty standard. First, a call with HR, and then I spoke with the hiring manager. The HM was possibly the rudest interviewer I've ever experienced – they got up from their chair and moved off-camera, and yawned hugely midway through our conversation. At least try to pretend interest or just cut the interview short rather than be offensive and rude. It definitely did not leave a good impression.
