Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Leanplum.
Technical Sourcer
The interview process here was super smooth and really focused on making sure the candidate had a great experience. I had two interview rounds: a recruiter call and then an onsite interview. I was really impressed by how kind and courteous everyone was, and I never felt nervous. It felt like home right away! They asked me a good number of technical questions, but also got to know me as a person, asking about my goals and aspirations. Culture is a big deal at Leanplum, and their values really came through in the interviews. They also moved really fast; I spoke to a recruiter and got an offer within a week. Super impressive!
- What's your approach when you encounter challenges in sourcing candidates for a position?
Talent Acquisition
Applied on Wednesday, had a phone screen Thursday, and then onsite Friday. Onsite involved meeting with people from recruiting and operations. Had a cultural interview with the VP of Marketing and had to submit writing samples. References were checked, and I got an offer the following Monday. The whole process was fast and smooth.
- How do you prioritize your recruitment workload?
- Did you establish a recruiting process in your past roles?
- What strategies do you use to build employer brand and guarantee a great candidate experience?
Recruiting Manager
It started with a recruiter call where they talked about expectations and how the company is growing. They gave me info on the team, budgets, forecasting, and values. Then I talked to the VP of Operations and the VP of Engineering. They explained company growth, revenue, product development, and their ideas for the employment brand. Lastly, I met the recruiting team and the founders at the office.
- What's your approach to streamlining recruiting and offering interview training/best practices to new managers when resources are scarce?
