First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LeanIX.
Enterprise Account Executive
The interview process began with two interviews with Sales Directors, focusing on skills and experience through conversation. Then, I had a 30-minute chat with a peer in LeanIX with a similar background to help me decide if it was a good move. After that, there was an online cognitive and personality test. The process concluded with a 30-minute interview with the Chief Revenue Officer and a panel presentation about my Sales Track record, including an HR representative and two Sales Directors. Throughout all stages, people shared their own experiences at LeanIX, and I could follow up with calls if I had any questions or concerns.
- Discuss your sales track record.
- What are your skills and experience?
Account Executive
The interview process involved an initial phone screening, followed by in-person interviews with two directors and the managing director. The team worked out of a WeWork, so the interviews took place in a rented conference room. I was really impressed by the senior management, but the lower-level managers and their direct reports seemed to lack the necessary skills and preparation. Their questions weren't really designed to assess candidates but more to pass the time. It felt like they got their roles through luck rather than merit, and I'm glad I didn't get the offer because my career has advanced much more since then.
- Could you share a story with me?
Account Executive
The process was very professional: First, an HR meeting where we discussed the role's requirements and expectations. Second, a meeting with the Hiring Manager for a team fit and personality check. Third, a final pitch where I explained why I'm the right candidate, presented three use cases, and answered questions. This was followed by a Q&A session and then checking three references. Finally, there was the offer and a discussion with HR, including negotiation.
- Tell me about how you handled past projects and any obstacles you faced.
- Explain why you believe you're a good fit for this position.
- What feedback would your previous manager give about you?
